What is the course timetable?
The certification course is 100 hours and can be started at any time. The course is entirely self-paced. Prospective teachers who choose TEFL HQ have the advantage of designing their own schedule and completing the course from anywhere in the world.

What is the TEFL course format?
Students will work their way through the online units that consist of text, visual, interactive, and video components. You will also be expected to complete quizzes at the end of each unit.

Is there a practicum/practice teaching component?
TEFL HQ does not include a full practice teaching component. Given the variety of teaching jobs abroad, TEFL HQ courses focus on training teachers to build skill sets that will allow them to adapt to different environments. Upon completion of a TEFL HQ course, teachers will have experience planning, designing, and adapting a wide variety of language activities and materials, which they can apply to their new teaching job overseas.

Is the course accredited?
While the TEFL HQ course is not accredited by an educational body, graduates will find themselves with a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, a competitive 100-hour TEFL certification accepted by international schools.

Will I receive a certificate on completion?
Yes, upon completion of the TEFL HQ course, a PDF certificate will be available to download for you to print, add to your resume, and LinkedIn profile.

What are my job prospects as a certified TEFL educator?
Your TEFL certification will give you a competitive edge over other teachers wishing to teach abroad in countries such as Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, China, and many countries in South America. While TEFL certification is not required to teach abroad in some countries, the majority of language schools around the world strongly prefer teaching candidates who have completed a TEFL course.
